Product description of DBB Ball Valve
Double Block and Bleed Ball Valves are aimed to get a double barrier on the piping, and bleed the fluid trapped between the two balls from a dedicated drain line. Body construction can be either forging or centrifugal casting. Wide range of materials: carbon steels, austenitic or martensitic SS, duplex-superduplex SS, nickel-based alloys. Valve design can be either Trunnion or Floating type, anti blow-out stem and typically SPE seat design. Drain port is normally provided with a floating ball valve, to be fitted with Final User drain line. Valve seats can be soft or metal to metal hard-faced. This trunnion mounted DBB ball valve from provides double block and bleed in a single valve. This style can isolate piping on both sides of the valve (uni-directionally) to vent/bleed the valve cavity between the seats.Using a single double block and bleed valve system versus 3 separate valves saves installation time, weight on the piping system, and space. It also cuts down the number of leak paths to the atmosphere, reducing the risk of hazards when transferring liquids dangerous to humans or the environment.
Features of DBB Ball Valve
1. During the opening and closing of the valve, there is no contact between the sealing surface of the valve body and the sealing surface of the sliding plate. Therefore, the sealing surface has no friction and wear, the service life of the valve is long, and the opening and closing torque is small.
2. During the maintenance of the valve, it is not necessary to remove the valve from the pipeline, just disassemble the bottom cover of the valve and replace a pair of sliding plates, which is very convenient for maintenance.
3. The valve body and cock are reduced in diameter, which can reduce the cost.
4. The inner cavity of the valve body is plated with hard chromium, and the sealing area is hard and smooth.
